Following the final performance of "Il Trovatore" in Norfolk on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, Virginia Opera Artistic Director Peter Mark
was honored at a special dinner at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club for reaching the milestone of his 100th production
conducted for the company. More than 200 guests came to the honor the maestro at the dinner, which also featured live
performances by Virginia Opera artists – including "Il Trovatore" cast members , Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Barbara
Dever, and Virginia Opera soprano favorite, Cristina Nassif. The event was organized by co-chairs Dixie Wolf and Dorothy Doumar.
