Drum roll please! The Opera in the Park Concert is back. Yes, it is free and everyone is welcome!
Enjoy Virginia Opera's singers perform some of the most delightful ear candy in your Bermudas and flip flops at Town Point Park in Norfolk, Va at the 2nd Annual Opera in the Park Concert . Virginia Opera's very own Artistic Director Peter Mark and WHRO-FM's Program Director Dwight Davis are Masters of the Ceremony for the concert, which begins at 6:00 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to picnic on the lawn beginning at 3:00 p.m. Guests may purchase food, soft drinks and adult/alcoholic beverages throughout the evening or may bring their own picnic baskets filled with food and non-alcoholic beverages.

During the tour learn about the technical aspects of mounting a professional theatrical opera production. The tour includes such detail as the stage, set, fly system, lighting, wig shop, and costumes. As we explore the elements of live opera, we will also delve into the history of the Harrison Opera House and find out what is tradition or myth .
