Benefits: Virginia Opera Volunteers are eligible for tickets to opera dress rehearsal performances (or opera mainstage performances at the Richmond location) during the opera season, based on hours accrued. Ten (10) hours of volunteering earns one (1) dress rehearsal ticket per person. All active volunteers are invited to a special concert performance at the end of the season.

Administrative Work
Assist the Development Department in the Virginia Opera staff/administrative offices Monday-Friday during business hours (9 am - 5 pm). Flexible hours available, no minimum daily, weekly or monthly time commitment required.
Primary duties include:
- Assisting with small mailings
- Filing and organizing materials as needed
Will Call Table/Ticket Pick-up for Performances
Work with Box Office to assist with ticket distribution for select opera performances during the season. Must have good eyesight to read print on tickets and excellent personal relations/customer service skills. Must be willing to make time/date commitment to any or all of the following dates, or express willingness to fill in for other dates (Wednesday evening or Sunday afternoon), subject to approval by the Audience Services Manager.
