About Family Day at the Opera 

Virginia Opera's Family Day at the Opera has given grandparents, parents and children an opportunity to experience together the exciting and rich world of live performance during a day filled with fun games, activities, prizes, food and more – at a cost that won't put a dent in the family budget. Started in 2005, Family Day was an anticipated event for parents seeking cultural enrichment for their children in a unique and fun environment.

Past performances at Family Day have included productions of Sleeping Beauty, The Pirates of Penzance and Pinocchio.
