Celebrate the splendor of spring with Virginia Opera as we present Simply Sopranos: A Gala Evening on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Point Club.

Located in the World Trade Center in Downtown Norfolk, the Town Point Club overlooks one of the busiest ports on the East Coast and is celebrated for its outstanding cuisine.  During this gala, black-tie, epicurean evening, three gourmet courses will be served following a complement of arias performed by one of three extremely gifted singers. All proceeds from this unique, all sopranos event, will benefit the education and outreach activities of Virginia Opera reaching over 150,000 students and adults each year.  

Simply Sopranos will feature the talented Christina Pier, Sarah Jane McMahon, and Katherine Jolly.  Katherine Jolly is featured as Yum-Yum in Virginia Opera’s current production of The Mikado.  Christina Pier will be appearing as Rosalinde in next season’s Die Fledermaus, and Sarah Jane McMahon will perform the role of Adele in the same production.
