What is FoVO?

It's not a card game! Friends of Virginia Opera (FoVO) is a group for people, between the ages 21 to 41, and currently enrolled college students from all walks of life, who are interested in opera and culture in Virginia.

Joining FoVO gives you access to special events including backstage tours, parties, and concerts.

Join FoVO to learn more about the performing arts and to enjoy an amazingly artistic evening among like-minded friends.

FoVO provides its members with networking opportunities and a chance to make lifelong bonds.

Benefits of Joining FoVO

  • Invitation to members-only, pre-opera reception on FoVO Friday performances for you and ONE guest (guest must be a ticket holder).

Membership Requirements

  • Age 21-41 (Must show government issued photo identification at time of enrollment.) or currently enrolled college student (Must present active student photo identification and/or class schedule from current session/semester with government issued photo identification.) 
  • Membership fee: $35
  • Subscription purchase: FULL or TRIO subscription for Friday evening (Series D) performance. Excludes Price Section One seating
  • FoVO offers four years of membership maximum - call or e-mail the Box Office for more information and pricing
