What is FoVO?

It's not a card game! Friends of Virginia Opera (FoVO) is a group for people between the ages 21 to 41, from all walks of life, who are interested in opera and culture in Virginia.

Joining FoVO gives you access to special events including backstage tours and 'Student Night at the Opera' (SNATO) performances. Just e-mail to schedule a backstage tour or to arrange a SNATO performance attendance. Please note, dates and seats are limited. (SNATO seats for Porgy and Bess are not available.) 

Join FoVO and be one of the hottest and brightest young professionals in the area. Learn more about performing arts and enjoy an amazingly artistic evening among like-minded people.

FoVO provides its members with networking opportunities, a chance to make lifelong friends, and the connections to build business relationships in Hampton Roads.

Membership Requirements

  • Age: 21-41 (Must show government issued photo identification required at time of enrollment.)
  • Membership fee: $35
  • Subscription purchase: FULL or TRIO subscription (As of January 2010: DUO PACS now available for new FoVO members!) for Friday evening (Series C) performance. Excludes Price Section One seating
  • FoVO offers four years of membership maximum
